JUNIOR RANGER ACTIVITY
The activity took 45 minutes to complete. He told me he had fun learning because it was like a scavenger hunt for answers.
Owen was handed a booklet of questions pertaining to the history of Bodie State Historic Park.
This is the Bodie Bank. Owen is looking at the only thing that survived the 1932 fire. What do you think it is? Answer: the vault.
One of the activity was to look inside the firehouse on Main Street (pictured above). He was instructed to name two things that are still used to fight fires today. His answers: ladder and hose.
We spent some time in the Laundry/Sewing House. The question on his worksheet was: “What was used to heat up an iron that pressed clothes?” Answer: the wood stove.
WOW – we just missed you – we were in Denali on 30 July.
